Our Process
We’ve built a step-by-step process to make sure no detail gets overlooked and your project stays on track for its delivery date. Here’s a closer look at each stage and what goes into making your cabinetry perfect.
1) Information Gathering and Initial Design Consultation
A quick phone/zoom call to get architectural or interior designer drawings, budget, general timing and other information so we can prepare for the initial design consultation. We will set up a time to meet and discuss design objectives, giving you a chance to visit our shop and showroom and start looking at our finish options.
2) Preliminary Estimate and Design Deposit
Based on the Initial Design Consultation, we will provide you with our Preliminary Estimate and issue a Design Deposit.
3) Design Drawings
This is usually the longest step in the process and can go through several rounds to refine the design. Door Style and Finish samples are produced during this step, and the estimate is updated as necessary. The key milestone here is to finalize and the design intent.
4) Field Measurements and Fit to Field Drawings
Working with the builder, we visit the job site to confirm all dimensions where our cabinets will be installed to ensure a perfect fit. Using those field measurements, we create final design drawings, update the estimate, and get approval on all finish selections. We freeze the design process at this point by issuing a Construction Deposit.
5) Engineering and Production
This is where the designs are translated into shop drawings for manufacturing and installation. We issue a Production Deposit once final drawings are Docusign approved, and the job is then output to the shop.
6) Delivery and Installation
After the final invoice is paid, the boxes, trim, and panels are delivered to the jobsite without their doors and drawer fronts. We coordinate with your builder to deliver the doors and drawer fronts as the last step in the construction process to ensure the product doesn’t get damaged.
